We absolutely loved our night here, great location to relax after 4 days hiking. Comfortable, clean room with balcony, coffee and tea making facilities and cold water on tap. Lovely morning breakfast in the dining hall. We loved it. Friendly welcoming staff too.

We stayed here in early September 2025 while visiting Yosemite. The place is nice and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. We were in room 35 which was large and comfortable. It was fun sitting out by the fire pit talking to other guests and watching the deer walk across. There wasn't a fridge in the room which was a bit disappointing but our only real complaint is that there is no bar or restaurant. The hotel does have a very cool western type bar but it's not open, it would have been great to sit at the bar and have a few brinks. They do sell alcohol from reception but it's not the same.

Amazing hotel with beautiful modern design and exceptional service. Every detail felt well thought out, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh options. A perfect place to relax and enjoy your stay. Highly recommend!

A absolutely stunning hotel! We loved the communal areas, particularly the games room and the living room with real fire place! The bedroom was very comfortable, with lovely views over the countryside. Great continental breakfast too. A good hub for a visit to Yosemite - 20 mins to the South Entrance & giant sequoias, about 70 mins to Yosemite Valley. Local town of Oakhurst has every facility, shop, bar & restaurant you could need! Only complaint would be the lack of on-site bar or restaurant to avoid the short drive in to Oakhurst.

We stayed at Sierra Sky Ranch from August 19–24, 2025, and overall, we actually liked the hotel — it’s a charming place in a beautiful setting near Yosemite, with a peaceful atmosphere and nice rooms. Because we enjoyed our stay, we decided to extend it directly with the hotel (for August 25–26) instead of using Booking.com, thinking we were doing something kind to help them avoid the booking commission. Unfortunately, this decision turned into a very disappointing experience. When extending the stay at the front desk, I was quoted a single nightly rate verbally, which I accepted. However, I was later charged a significantly higher total, and was told there were two different nightly rates and that the price did not include taxes — none of which was ever clearly explained. I also received no written confirmation and was never asked to sign anything. In addition, staff gave contradictory information about availability: one employee told me it wasn’t possible to extend further, while at the same time rooms were available online through Booking.com. The main issue, however, has been the $100 security deposit charged for the direct booking. The hotel repeatedly told me it was “just a hold” that would automatically drop off, but more than six weeks later, the money has still not been returned. On October 2nd, the hotel even sent me an email claiming the hold was released and attached documents as “proof.” Yet the refund never reached my account, and my bank has confirmed there is absolutely no issue on their end. To be fair, the hotel itself is nice, and we did enjoy our stay — but the management and billing transparency were deeply disappointing, and the breakfast was quite poor and could be significantly improved (limited options, low quality compared to the price). What started as a pleasant stay turned into a frustrating experience due to unclear communication, pricing confusion, and a deposit that remains unresolved. If you visit, book only through trusted platforms like Booking.com, and avoid direct bookings to protect yourself from similar problems.

Beautiful,quiet and cosy lodge near Yosemite. Service was extremely friendly and welcoming. We were given a room that wasn't cleaned but when I notified staff they apologized and immediately gave us a new suite that was bigger than what I had booked. Our new room was lovely however the light outside our window was extremely bright and there were no blackout blinds. The breakfast was very basic but good. We loved the tea/hot chocolate station that was always available. They had board games and books available to read in the library. We also loved the fireplace in the main room. I would definitely come here again.

Great place to stay if you’re gonna go into the park. The staff is great. The rooms are clean breakfast and and ice available. and the host we talked to was Marlow. She is great and full of information and friendly. Would recommend staying here.

I wish we could have stayed longer, one night wasn’t nearly enough! We stayed as part of our honeymoon road trip and Sierra Sky Ranch made us feel so special with a complementary bottle of champagne on arrival. The room and view was just stunning (we even woke up to deer wandering round outside our bedroom). Just a short drive and you’re in Yosemite national park, the whole experience was perfect!

The two ladies who take care of everything you need, Marlo and Devin and so fabulous, kind and helpful They make you feel like you are the only guest We had a king room, it’s small, but manageable, has a cute deck to sip wine on. Bathroom nice and I appreciated the shelving unit in there for make up and toiletries. The bed very comfortable My only complaint no closet but we got creative with ironing board holder Very nice property I wish we had time to use the pretty pool

Our stay at the Sierra Sky Ranch was just delightful. This boutique hotel has a homely feel, with a really comfortable lounge area adjacent to the reception, a spacious dining room where breakfast is served and a garden in front of the hotel, with decorative lights and a fire pit. Our bedroom and en suite bathroom were spacious and impressive, with a super comfortable king sized bed. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Oakhurst is within a ten minute drive, where there are various restaurants for dinner. Our only regret was that we only booked one night.

Sierra Sky Ranch is a beautiful place with gracious and helpful staff that made us feel at home! We stayed here for a family wedding that was at the same location and all the staff members made it a beautiful and memorable weekend for me and my family. The room was wonderful (Double Queen 2 room suite) for our family with 3 pre-teen kids and 2 adults. Breakfast was a great addition and the common spaces were so fantastic, they kept my kids entertained all weekend. I can't wait to visit this gorgeous place again!

This is our first visit to Yosemite and Oakhurst and we chose to stay at Sierra Sky Ranch. This is a lovely boutique hotel which is located in a quiet secluded area, 10mins drive from oakhurst town centre which makes it also 10mins closer to yosemite. Upon arrival the place looks like an old western style ranch and inside is pretty much what you'd expect. Everything is just nice and polished, kept clean throughout the place. Rooms are spacious and staff are extremely helpful and nice, always smiling. The only let down was the breakfast with everything on offer served cold. Considering what we paid per night ($366 per night AUD, 3 nights) and the breakfast we got doesn't seem right. Reading the reviews seems like everyone got a better breakfast menu!

I have a fabulous time. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. I needed a AA battery and voila, they handed over a battery. Supportive and always up for a conversation. Room was clean and neat. Veranda was awesome. Sitting out and enjoying nature was great. Hope to visit again soon.
