Staff was great. Location good. Quiet time polices are not enforced. Masks enforcement is also lacking. Our first night was glorious, the second night due to unruly guests made our second night torture. The rooms share a large hallway (old ranch) and so privacy is lacking.

Lovely property with a great history. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms clean and well-appointed. A ranch house. Wish the restaurant had been open, but the search for food led us to Bass Lake, a most pleasant excursion.

The location of the hotel is great if you plan to visit Yosemite. The rooms were average but clean, the toilet in my room backed up into the shower and the shower did not drain well. Pedestal sink is very low and not suitable for taller people. I also has a larger suite on the first floor/basement and did not have any WiFi signal. There is no cell signal out there either but it comes back once you get to 41. The pillows were filled with some kind of crumbly foam and I found them very uncomfortable. The staff was absent when it was time for check out, so I just left my key at the desk and called and left a message to let them know I had left. It’s average at best but there really aren’t many options out there, just go in with humble expectations and you’ll be fine.

This hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. There is absolutely no lighting on the signage out front of the hotel so we drove passed it as we arrived late in the evening. The water pressure in the shower was awful. The noise from the people walking in the room above us was even worse. Would definitely stay again but would request a room on the single level floor.

Former retreat for veterans of WWII to enjoy Yosemite. Relaxing lodge atmosphere. Great location! You can't go wrong here.

Enjoyed this place a lot, with such a great atmosphere and calmness. Old wooden furniture, fireplace in a common area, modern room interior and modern bathroom - all you need for a perfect stay away. Will come back!

The accommodations more than met my expectations, other than the cold bathroom. The authentic appearance of the lodge was beautiful. The snow was an unexpected pleasure.

This hotel was very charming. Despite being so old, it was well kept and very beautiful. The common space was very inviting and the staff was very very friendly.

Would highly recommend this hotel! And I’ve already booked my next stay there!

Clean, rustic yet modern, comfortable rooms, great proximity to Yosemite and nearby eateries in Oakhurst. Friendly and accommodating staff. I would recommend to friends and family. The hotel is staff with everything you need for a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable stay.

Beautiful peaceful hotel in lovely Oak grove setting. Room decor was beautiful! Quiet and peaceful like a retreat! If you want a swanky hotel with all the bells and whistles then go to Vegas. This hotel is for those who crave a nice peaceful retreat atmosphere.
