My wife and I stayed here on our way to Yosemite NP. It used to be a cattle ranch back in the 1850's and was converted to a Military Hospital for a decade or two. It wasn't a hotel until the 1950's and it has the old West feel to the place. The lobby and the restaurant are like being in an rustic cabin in the woods. The pictures of the place really don't do it justice. The beds are King sized feather topped, and there's a porch outside each room that you can see into the hills from. Breakfast was good, but rooms don't have a refrigerator so don't plan on keeping things for later. Rooms have only a shower in the bathroom, so don't expect a big hot tub. If you love the rustic atmosphere, and want to try something different, give this a shot.

The Sierra Sky Ranch is a unique and interesting hotel in Oakhurst. The ranch itself is beautiful and a great place to explore. The rooms were clean and comfortable, if a little small. The bathroom was also up to date and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful (and will tell you all about the ghost stories at the ranch!).

THE HOTEL IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. WE WERE WELCOMING AND THE SERVICE PROVIDED AT THE ARRIVAL WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE ROOM IS BEAUTIFUL AND THE FACILITIES GORGEOUS.

The entire staff was amazing and the hotel is beautiful.

When booking our stay I did not expect the room to look nearly as good as the pictures. It far exceeded my expectations and was very clean. The staff was amazing and while our room didn’t have a fridge, I feel that the customer service made up for anything it may have lacked.

a very nice rustic place to stay well kept and clean. However the rooms are a little too small for my liking not a lot of elbow space. Very nice staff friendly and helpful.

It’s one of the best Ranch I have stayed. Ambience was great, rooms were super clean and cozy, amazing patio for breakfast and morning tea, and best part is their living space near reception with bone fire.

i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Yosemite National Park and who does not mind wooden floor noise at night. The hotel is well-kept, room is a little small but the bathroom is updated. Friendly and accomodating staff. Free breakfast included and the stay cost is not bad at all. It’s close to a casino, Reiner’s ice cream shop and Sugar Pine Railroad!!Will sure be back on our next trip:-)

Our family stayed in the suite with one queen bed and a couch that doubled as a twin bed for my son. We loved the feel of the place. It had that cool mountain ranch feeling with all the modern amenities and for a GREAT price. Value of this place cannot be beat!

Lovely and amazing Hotel to begin your Yosemite Park visit!

Pretty nice spot to stay if heading to Yosemite. The rooms were nice and clean. Bathrooms pretty modern. Only concern was the WiFi that was a little weak. No hot tub to relax legs in after hiking

Beautiful location and clean/updated/friendly resort. Our stay was very comfortable.

My rating is not based on the service but rather on the darkness that is felt there. It is definitely haunted and you could feel the darkness and heaviness on your chest... the first night my husband and I were there, I felt a strong heaviness on my chest and my body got cold even when the heater was on... when I checked the time it was around 3am. The last night my husband and I were there, I heard laughter and nobody around was awake. We packed our bags and left immediately. I asked my husband what time it was and it was around 3 am. A beautiful yet very eerie place to stay. I got very little sleep while we stayed there. Staff and service was great but because our our eerie and dark experience, we won’t be staying there again.

מלון מדהים עם אוירה חמה שחייב לבקר בו! אולי אחד המלונות הטובים באזור וזה בעיקר בגלל העיצוב והאוירה (במיוחד בחורף עם האח בלובי). אין אורן בכל חדר ואין כספת בחדרים בכלל, כמו כן ארוחת הבוקר מאוד דלה אבל האוירה במלון והעיצוב כל כך מיוחדים שזה גובר כל החסרונות.

Although a Choice Hotels member for a long time we never stayed at an Ascend property. I am glad we did this trip as it was a lovely updated facility with pleasant staff and comfortable room.
