We loved staying at Sierra Sky, it was such a cosy romantic getaway. And so close to Yosemite.

I think the reviews are fake. Mattress is too noisy, also there is no voice insulation and you can hear people walking all time time. I don’t recommend it.

We loved it from the moment we arrived in the parking lot. The staff was friendly, courteous, and efficient checking us in, showing us our room, etc. The architecture and ambiance is superb, and the food in the restaurant was beyond excellent. A little pricey, but worth it. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency having nothing to do with Sierra Sky Ranch, we were forced to leave soon after we arrived, which was very disappointing. We'll definitely be back.

Sehr schönes Hotel, klassisch gehalten mit Veranda. Frühstück typisch amerikanisch. Besonders freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal.

The hotel needs to upgrade their heating system. Since we ended up with staying in a room in the adjacent building and don't know about other rooms in the main building, there seem to be things needed to be improved to assure a comfortable stay at the hotel. The receptionists were good and kind. The newly opened restaurant was excellent.

I really had high hopes for this hotel. Location was stunning and close to Yosemite, and the property is very unique and old. Rooms are small, and my sheets for some reason were upside down? No fridge. When checking in the receptionist was very kind. However that ends there. Wanted to grab dinner in their restaurant we stood around waiting for someone to seat us (we came in October maybe they were understaffed? the hotel was still busy). During dinner they had the AC blasting it was so cold, the waitresses seemed very shy and timid, didn't make conversation, and the food was overpriced with very little variety in the menu. We paid $9 for a tiny plate of spinach and $21 for a veg shepherd's pie which was so small and so bland. Also the restaurant is closed Sunday-Monday, luckily we got there on a Saturday. To top it off breakfast the next morning was terrible. I was hoping for some fresh food and lots of variety, nope. Breakfast starts at 7am we came at 7:15am and half the food was gone. One worker didn't seem bothered or try to rush to refill the items. There weren't even plates! No yogurts, bananas, bagels, English muffins. You had one juice option: orange, tiny poppy seed muffins, eggs and potatoes which were empty when we got there, and some white toast. I had better breakfasts at cheap Comfort Inns. For $200/night this was terribly underwhelming and I wish I had a better experience.

Das Hotel liegt ca. 5 Autominuten außerhalb von Oakhurst und ca. 20 min vom Yosemite-Nationalpark entfernt. Unser Zimmer (34) sehr geräumig und für eine Mountainlodge passend eingerichtet. Was uns gestört hat war, dass das Zimmer sehr hellhörig ist. Man hört jeden Schritt vom Stock darüber. Wenn Kinder herumlaufen, hat man das Gefühl, die Decke bricht runter. Die Fenster des Zimmers liegen direkt zum Parkplatz, weshalb die Jalousien ganzen Tag unten waren, damit nicht alle reinschauen konnten. Wir hatten das Zimmer bzw. die Kategorie gebucht, weil es mit Kamin ist. Dieser halt leider nicht funktioniert bzw. durfte nicht verwendet werden, das hat uns sehr enttäuscht. Das Angebot beim Frühstück ist minimal. Die Anlage sonst sehr gut im Schuss, das Personal freundlich.

Great little place on the southside of Yosemite. Friendly staff and some great atmosphere in the shared spaces.

This place was homely and well-maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. This place had a fireplace with games and 2 separate larger rooms for families to huddle which was really nice. The rooms were clean, double-sanitized, and had all the amenities. We were comfortable and every room comes with a patio which is a nice touch. This place also has an attached tavern where they served complimentary breakfast. Would definitely recommend this place for travelers going to Yosemite or when around Oakhurst CA

Pleasantly surprised by our accommodations. Its history was fascinating. Our room was rustic and cozy. Will definitely come back again.

Very clean. Simple but very cozy. Wifi was surprisingly fast and good.

I could not understand why Sky Ranch is listed as a 3-star hotel. I ended up booking it after reading the great reviews from people who have stayed there in the past and for the great price offer. Give Sky Ranch a chance and you won't regret it! Awesome low key spot! I really enjoyed my stay and the friendly staff!

Absolute gem of a find! Wonderful staff, beautiful grounds, and impressive breakfast. Great place to stay that feels like a cabin in the woods. Highly recommend.

We found the Sierra Sky Ranch to be a most charming, warm, comfortable hotel. We enjoyed sitting in the lounging areas with our family next to the fire. There were many nice decor touches including a piano and several areas where you could sit and read or relax, whatever you desired. We had a birthday celebration at the restaurant and we were impressed by the quality of food and service. The food was delicious and the staff ensured that we had everything we needed.
