We love this hotel. It has become our perfect getaway from work and the stresses of life. Less than 2 hours from home, we come up to Oakhurst a few times a year just to stay at this hotel; it feels like home and the staff could not be better. Having the restaurant open now is also wonderful as the food has become a highlight of our stay.

Stayed there 54 years ago and loved it now. I don't like to be told how many words that I have to use to write review. If it requires me to do so don' ask for my opinion.

Room was a bit cozy, but service was great and friendly. The food was delicious and the alcohol drinks were strong. Definitely a must stay.

Great location, only 30 mins to the entrance of Yosemite and about an hour drive to the valley. The staff are all kind and helpful. The hotel has a a beautiful rustic aesthetic and the beds are comfortable. The free breakfast went beyond my expectations (cowboy potatoes and spinach scrambled eggs), and was super delicious. There is a restaurant on the property and only about 15 mins away from Oakhurst for more options.

Rooms need charis or sofas to sit in. My parents had nothing to sit on in the room.

Overall we had a delightful time. Just a few minor "issues" but nothing that deserves a bad review. Hotel staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Property was quiet and peaceful.

Hotel last year was a much better experience than this year. Quality has decreased significantly. Staff is still friendly, but accommodations are worse.

Had a great time out there

Beginning of February is the perfect time to come here! We truly enjoyed our stay. Everything was serene and quiet. The king bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the rooms that have a small porch out front. The breakfast option was nice but truly continental with packaged oatmeal, packaged hard boiled eggs, some cereal and cottage cheese or yogurt. Definitely a nice snack but if you are looking for dietary purposes, I would recommend bringing your own breakfast replacement and just grabbing a thing or two. Gabe at the front desk checked us in and was very kind as it was late. It would be great to have at least a chair in the room to sit and tie your shoes, but it truly is for sleeping only. One other thing that would be nice in the winter is a hot tub, but from an operational standpoint, it is high maintenance. They have seating areas with chess set and piano. Would be nice to bring some cards or games if you’re with a crowd or family. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent staff! Clean, friendly, comfortable. Beautiful scenery. Amazing history. Truly a great value, and excellent place to stay.

A bunch of history in this place. From an 1800's working ranch to WW2 rehab and later Hotel. The place is very clean and quiet. We were in town for business mixed with pleasure. The drive to Yosemite is only minutes up the mountain. Plenty of scenery that will leave you speechless.
