The ambiance was breathtaking. A very beautiful and authentic ranch with lovely cozy rooms. We especially liked the bathroom and the beautiful terrace. The stay was perfect for us, as we were hiking in Yosemite National Park. We would love to come back again!

Well well well.||Safe to say we had a great time at Sierra Sky Ranch. Fantastic location close to shops and gas stations as well as the South entrance to Yosemite. First thing in the morning to the gate took 20 mins in Sept and didn’t have to queue once. Absabloodytastic.||They served breakfast very early in the morning to allow for a speedy getaway. Breakfast is nothing fancy but does exactly what it says on the tin #ronseal. Think pastries, mini boxes of cereal, toast, fruit(?) and a microwaved breakfast sandwich if wanted. No real veggie options however.||The room itself was very spacious and even had two chairs out on the decking to utilise. There’s even a microwave to be used at your own convenience as the restaurant wasn’t open when we stayed. I bought a microwaveable chicken and Mac n cheese meal from the nearby store and ate it there, it was delicious. Apologies for the lingering smell it left behind, but at least I had a great time.||The ranch is very old and possibly haunted, however this was just my wife confusing people walking down the corridor with possible paranormal activity. It is definitely not haunted, at least that’s what the old man sat in the corner of our room told me to say.||We had a great time and would definitely use again if we came back to Yosemite.||Tysm.

This lodge is a few miles away from the downtown area, but it feels homey. It’s decorated like a wooden cabin, with a nice dining area for breakfast and the outside with beautiful lights. The rooms are very clean and well kept. Lastly, great customer service specially the lady in the breakfast area.

Looking for a quiet and relaxing country get away from the city that's steeped in history? This is the place! Tucked away up in the mountains right off the 41 and just minutes away from downtown Oakhurst, is this little gem straight out of the old west. Before it was converted to a 28 room hotel, it was one of California's first cattle ranches dating back to 1875. The minute you walk in, you feel as if you've been stepped back in time as you take in the beautiful rustic atmosphere of a handsomely decorated log cabin complete with a actual working fireplace in the lobby that the staff keeps going all through the winter. I was also told by the staff, who by the way are super friendly and make you feel right at home, that the hotel was also at one time, a retreat for military soldiers and a tuberculosis ward at another. It is literally just one of the last few hotels located outside of Yosemite which is a bonus! The southern entrance to Yosemite through Fish Camp is only 20 minutes away from Sky Ranch. Also nearby is another tourist attraction, Bass Lake just 15 minutes away from the hotel. The rooms are cozy and both my husband and I slept like babies! Most comfortable beds ever. They do have a pool that's open only during the summer season. There's even a library that boasts many books and games for kids and families! Love that they have fresh coffee around the clock, plus hot teas and hot chocolate. A free Continental style breakfast is included with your stay. Another nice surprise was an outside fire place in the front lawn with chairs! You can simply enjoy the fire under the stars and/or roast your own S'mores which the hotel sells and the front desk agent will go and help light the fire for you. Their restaurant the Cowboy Tavern is closed but staff does give you plenty of great recommendations for local dining choices. I was told at the time that they operate the dining room for private parties and events. It too is an impressive venue complete with an actual old time style saloon bar. Considering how much my husband and I enjoyed our time here, we will definitely be bringing our family with us next time!

We had the best stay over after playing in the snow up the road a few miles! The staff was so friendly, welcoming and just made you feel totally at home! The room was clean and comfortable, we asked for a room next to my son and his wife and were given one with a joining patio. We watched football and played scrabble in the den! Had a great time and was even treated to a guided ghost hunt later that night! Can’t wait to go back!

Sierra Sky Ranch was wonderful!!! The property is beautiful, we just loved it. The grounds are perfect and the lobby was gorgeous! The rooms were good size and the beds were comfortable and so were the pillows. I can't say enough about the staff, too! They were so kind and helpful, it was honestly such a great time! There were wild life several times on the property and we had a campfire under the stars! This place is a gem and I can't recommend it enough! Great place for a Yosemite visit!

Okay, so we stayed at this hotel for 4 days on a vacation to Yosemite. The rooms were cozy and had a cool cabin theme. There was a big fireplace and 3 large beds. We went in a group of 5, and we weren't squeezed together. The only problem I could really find was the freezing cold showers. Anyway, the complementary breakfast was great, and they had a nice selection. The location was even better though, with Lewis Creek trailhead being a few miles away. And you can't forget Yosemite. 4 stars total, and I recommend this place to anyone who plans on going to Yosemite.
