This was a great place for me and my wife today. Part of us wish we could have stayed longer to be able to enjoy time in the hotel even more. It is a beautiful lodge tucked away amongst the hills. Being from a city, it makes me feel like I was at my cabin out in the woods. I always wish that CHOICE HOTELS continental breakfasts were a little higher quality and more fillings, but I appreciated the options that Sierra Sky had. The staff was helpful in providing information for us as we visited the area, especially related to getting into Yosemite. I wish that the housekeeping was a little more flexible with making it into our room as we slept in well past their visiting time because of a late arrival. They never ended up coming. (Though, after only sleeping in the room one night, they probably didn't have to anyways). Great stay!

Si quieres visitar Yosemite y dormir en un sitio cálido y acogedor, éste es el sitio. El rancho se encuentra a 20 minutos de la entrada al parque cerca de Mariposa Grove (secuoyas), en medio del bosque. Puedes ver a animales e incluso escuchar a lobos por la noche. La habitación es muy cómoda y el desayuno es correcto. Nosotros hemos ido en invierno por lo que todo estaba muy acogedor, decoración navideña y la chimenea encendida. Eso sí, el restaurante esta cerrado por lo que si quieres ir a cenar tienes que coger el coche. Sin dudas, volveré!

My daughter and I stayed at Sierra Sky Ranch over Thanksgiving week. It is a small hotel and has the homey feel of a B&B and is a great value for the money. The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms have been completely updated with beautiful tilework and great water pressure for long showers. The location was ideal --just at the South entrance to Yosemite. There was a complimentary continental breakfast each day and tea and coffee was always available. There were 3 cozy areas to sit and read or chat --one with a giant stone fireplace that was lit throughout the day. The highlight of the hotel is the Branding Iron Steakhouse which is on-site. The food was delicious, well-prepared, and very affordable. It was wonderful to have this gem of a restaurant just down the hall after a long day of arduous hiking in the park.

Sierra Sky Ranch is a gem! Clean, comfortable, in a tranquil setting and decorated with rustic chic charm.

The best thing I liked about this place is their decoration. It looked liked an old ranch to me, while everything looks nice and renovated. The surrounding is very peaceful too. Rooms have access to a shared patio, so you can use the chairs in patio to have tea or something. They provide breakfast too, while they do not serve omlet and the breakfast is continental breakfast, I was happy with its quality and it was good to have no worries about breakfast before going to the Yosemite. It is about 20 minutes outside park, so you will have 1 hour and 20 minutes to yosemite village. It didn't bother me, but it may be important for someone. The room and bed were comfortable and clean. No problem with water too, it was hot and no problem with pressure or simething like that. Rooms have shower and no tub, it would be great if they had tub so you could use it after hiking in Yosemite. Staff were friendly enough. Onen weird thing that happened to us and I saw in other reviews too is that after two nights our card stopped working so we had to go to front desk to get new cards. I guess by default they set card rooms for two nights. Overall I recommend this place, especially considering its price.

Situado a las puertas del Yosemite Parc y en una zona verde tranquila. Habitación un poco estrecha pero con gran cama confortable y muebles estilo colonial. Impecable baño. La habitación da a un bonito porche con flores donde se divisa la zona verde y el aparcamiento. Lobby con chimenea que da un calido ambiente y comodisimos sofás clásicos. Comedor clásico para una cena romàntica, con servicio muy entregado y amable. Lo que menos nos gustó fué el desayuno, frio y pobre de producto, sín ningún plato caliente, que desmerece el bonito estilo clásico y el frio servicio matinal de comedor.

Great place for friends and family to gather and go on hiking trails in Yosemite

Good location and tranquility with wood-made classic style. Some sounds may be heard from upstairs or outside but it is because of nature of the wooden structure. Amenities were awesome.

This is a beautiful hotel conveniently located near the entrance of yosemite but near oakhurst as well.

4 stars. The price. Location and service was excellent.

Location,staff and restaurant convenience was great! I loved the ranch style decor, loved the bar and food was incredible at the restaurant.

The hotel was unique and very nice. Price was very reasonable.

Beautiful, lovely kitsch, historic infrastructure. Nice rooms if a little small. A mini fridge would've been nice but no biggie. I got very sick and the staff was not only less than compassionate but they asked me to leave one day early and it's unclear if I'll be allowed to stay there again.
